i wrote this poem before i had heard anything about Daoism! i think that means a return to a more natural harmony is instinctual by whatecer name you want to give it 🙂

Yes, I think you're right. Actually, when I read your poem I immediately thought about Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater House, where a brook runs through the house.

Hmm, a brook running through your house. That could be both a good and bad thing. The brook could bring all sorts of unexpected things into your house. I suppose that's part of the philosophy: to be open to the unknown entering and still feeling balanced about that.

Also, accepting that nature will try to return every modern design back to a more natural state - like the Fallingwater house. :)

I lived not far from Fallingwater for a few years in my childhood and went there several times. I love the place. But yes, nature is certainly working it's magic on the structure. They keep having to shore up the sagging terraces.
